// about / How to join the team
Because of the scale of the project, we are always more than happy to welcome new team members to the Crisis team.
To apply for any position, please send an email and example of your work to
JdDalton1988@aol.com. Only serious applicants who include examples of
their work will be considered. Before you apply, please read the Requirements and Responsibilities below.
Open Positions
- Character Artist
- Tileset Artist
- Spriter (Pixel Art)
- Effect Artist
- Programmer
- Sound Effect Artist
Requirements
- We ask that all team members download a messenger client, preferably AIM as that is what the majority of the team uses. All team members must also have ready access to a computer with the internet. Before you consider joining, please look at your current schedule and make sure that you have time enough to devote to the project. While we understand that many times people join with the best intentions, too often a team member joins and becomes inactive. Prolonged inactivity or lack of communication brings confusion to the rest of the team, and in the end hurts far more than it helps. If you do find during the course of your time on the team that you must leave either permanently, or for a leave of absence, please notify Chains of Fate so that we know that we need to fill the position.
Responsibilities
- We're pretty laid back around here, but we would like to get the project done in the foreseeable future. Chrono Crisis is a massive project, and in a lot of ways is a labor of love. The game is on par with late era SNES/early era PSX games in terms of graphics, and is fairly long. That being said, many people join the Crisis team only to become overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the project. Before you join, again, please consider your current schedule to make sure you have the time and ability to complete tasks. We aren't asking that you dedicate your life to it, but as I said above, going idle for months at a time doesn't help anyone.
